Weekly Learning - Week Beginning 14th November 2022

This week has been jam packed! On Monday we had an SMSC House Day where the children went round in their houses taking part in learning activities linked to our social, moral, spiritual and cultural learning. These activities included taking part in yoga and making posters to promote our Shenley Values. 

In English this week we have been writing Autumn poems. We went on an Autumn walk and used our senses to create a word bank we could later use to write our poems. 

In Maths we have been thinking 5! Exploring different ways to regroup amounts to 10 to create new number sentences using 5 to help us add the amounts together in a new way. 

In Art we have been focusing on developing our drawing skills and explored making marks in a variety of ways. Next week we will be completing our final pieces! 

In PE we have been developing our skipping skills. In RE we have been learning about the Christmas story and why it is important for Christians. 

On Friday we had Children in Need day and dressed up in spots to raise money for Children in Need! Well done everyone who took part!
