Admissions to Shenley Primary School for all years other than Nursery, have to be completed through Hertfordshire County Council.
The following County admission rules apply for Primary schools, which have more applications than places available.
Shenley Primary School admits children up to their annual admission limit. Where there is over subscription priority will be given to:
- Children in public care.
- Children for whom it can be demonstrated that they have a particular medical or social need to go to the school.
A panel of officers from County will determine whether the evidence provided is sufficiently compelling to meet the requirements for this rule.
- Children who have a brother or sister on the roll of the school, or linked school, at the time of application for admission, unless the sibling is in the final year of the school or linked school, whichever provides for the older children.
- Children for whom the school is the nearest Community or Voluntary Controlled School.
- Children who live nearest to the school.
Responsibility for admissions currently lies with the Education Authority. Information will be sent from County Hall to your home address during the first term of the school year, before your child is due in to school. Parents considering sending their child to our school are welcome to visit by appointment.

For children whose date of birth is 01/09/2018 - 31/08/2019. Places for nursery are applied for directly with the school.
