Week commencing 6th March

In English this week we started exploring Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach. We have been learning more about the characters, written a diary and explored how James might have felt at the end of Chapter 9 where he found the hole in the peach!

In Friday's lesson, we created a conscience alley, where someone pretended to be James, and the children wrote their own reasons as to whether James should or should not enter the peach!

On Friday afternoon, we decided to capture a part of James and the Giant Peach in some artwork. What do you think?

In Music this week, we began to add the glockenspeil to our rehearsal of the song ' Lean on Me'. The children learned some music theory to support their playing. I was really impressed with how well they did! Have a look at the videos below.
