Week commencing 12th June 2023

This week the children have been working hard in maths to learn about 'area'. The started by counting the spaces inside shapes to record the area. Following on from this, the children have been applying base facts (times tables) to calculate the area of a shape by multiplying its length by its width. 

We have also used Purple Mash to have a go too.

In Geography this week, we began to finish our sequence of learning with a final project. The children chose a volcano to research and present on. We started writing up our projects in best!
