Week Beginning Monday 20th February 2023

Good afternoon! Hope you are all well and had a relaxing half term.

We started full on this week as Year 3 had to buckle down in preparation for their learning assembly which took place today! I am very proud of them all, as i'm sure you all are as well. It takes a lot of courage, determination and confidence to pull it off, so well done Year 3!

This week in English we have been looking at the differences between fiction and non-fiction texts. Towards the end of the week the children used a non-chronological report to identify the key features. We will use this knowledge over the coming weeks when we start to write our own non-fiction reports.

In maths this week we have been comparing fractions with the same denominator. Next week we will be adding and subtracting fractions with the same denominator.

We have started learning the names of different shapes in French and will continue to learn these this half term.

Have a lovely weekend, Miss Atkinson
