Week Beginning Monday 16th January 2023

This week in maths we have been looking at multiplication, division and arrays. The children worked really hard and showed their understanding by using fact families to represent numbers. Next week in maths we will be learning about associative and distributive laws.

This week in English the children wrote a letter conveying the events of what happened in chapter 5 of our story, 'The Finger Eater'.

Next week we will be planning and writing multi-clause sentences with subordinating clauses.

In computing we have been learning about spreadsheets. The children have enjoyed exploring bar models and data as well as more than, less than and equal too. Next week we will be looking at advanced mode and and cell addresses.

In Geography we used google maps to find different hamlets, villages, towns and cities in the United Kingdom. Next week we will be learning to understand what was found at Skara Brae and why is it important.

That's all for this week! Have a lovely weekend. Miss Atkinson
