Week beginning 7th November
This week the children explored identifying and using verbs in a description piece and then writing a piece themselves. They have used adjectives and thought about their word choices and then looked at why a writer may use short and long sentences and then had a try at doing the same.
In maths the children have looked at multiplying by ten and one hundred and using diagrams and resources to help their thinking.
We started our new science topic of Sound and the children listened for a range of sounds which could be heard in the classroom and then went to listen for more sounds in the school hall.
In Design and Technology the children explore illuminated signs which are in our local area and then looked at led lights and created a sign for an ice cream stand to light up, their results were impressive.
The children have started a new book in Guided reading and it has a Christmas feel to it...
