Week beginning 3rd October
The children have taken part in many democratic processes this week. We held hustings for House Captains and voted for a Captain and a vice Captain. The children decided if they would like to stand for School Parliament and busied themselves preparing their speeches to persuade their voters. We also choose our Eco- warrior representative too.
The children have continued to explore sketching techniques, using a range of graphite pencils, charcoal and chalk to complete sketches of sweets.
In science the children have found out about some pioneering scientists who have contributed in physics- focusing on electricity. Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison's famous rivalry has been discussed!
In maths the children have used based-10 to help them understand subtraction and the need to exchange to develop their understanding of the written record.
