Week Beginning 27th March 2023 - Week 6
This week Year 1 finished their information text on Emperor Penguins and thought about how to layout the information after looking at real non-fiction books. They chose photos and used their sections of writing and arranged the information in a way which was inviting for a reader.
We then started our poetry week and listened to Joseph Coelho perform his poem 'Say How You Feel'. We came up with ideas to help us describe how we feel when we are sad and when we are happy. We created some artwork using warm and cool colours to show a abstract face which is sad and happy.
In Maths we have been subtracting 1 digit numbers from 2 digit numbers using 'think 10' to help us.
In History we have been putting different toys on a timeline, thinking about how old they are and who would have played with them.
