Week Beginning 1st May 2023 - Week 3
This week Year 1 have been continuing to read the story 'Little Red and the Very Hungry Lion'. We thought about the characters of Little Red and Auntie Rosie and role played the kind of conversation they might have had on the phone.
In Maths we have been looking at word problems involving addition and subtraction, using part whole models to help us find the solutions.
In RE we have been finding out about caring in the community and learnt about Christian charities who help people. We learnt about CAFOD and The Salvation Army and talked about the different ways they help those who need it.
On Friday we had our amazing Coronation Celebrations! We loved our special lunch and played games and had fun in the afternoon. We decorated a special plate and crown to wear at our party and talked about why we were celebrating.
