Week beginning 12/12/22
We have had a very exciting week this week, with snow, nativity plays, Christmas lunch and a pantomime! Some of the children were keen to play in the snow, but sadly it was not great for making snowmen as it was too powdery. The children enjoyed throwing it and making snow hand prints, as well as discovering just how cold it is.
The children put on an amazing performance in their nativity play and I was incredibly proud of each and every one of them. They were unable to have a dress rehearsal on Monday and practise performing to an audience as all the other children in the school were going to watch, so their performance to parents on Tuesday was the first time they had done it in front of anyone. They sang beautifully, remembered their words and looked fantastic up on stage. Well done everyone!
On Wednesday the children enjoyed their school Christmas dinner. Thank you to our cook for another delicious meal.
On Friday the pantomime came to our school! We watched Hansel and Gretel who met a wicked witch in the forest. We helped them to trick the wicked witch into climbing into her cooking pot and were very relieved when she promised she would change and be a good witch.
