Week 6 - Week Beginning 3rd October 2022

This week the children have been reading the story 'Rosie's Walk'. We retold the story using actions to help us remember the key parts of the story. We have also been starting to think about the positioinal language words in the story including, over and under. Below is a video of the story Rosie's Walk if you would like to listen to it again at home!

In Phonics we have been playing musical instruments and even went down to the music room. We practised stopping and starting playing as well as playing loudly and quietly. 

Next Week...

We will continue reading Rosie's Walk and will be focusing on using positional language linked to the story. (over, under, on top, behind, in front) 

In Phonics we will be continuing to explore instrumental sounds and will be singing 'I am the music man' and playing instruments in different ways including trying to copy a simple beat or pattern.
