Week 3 - Week Beginning 12th September 2022

This week in Phonics the Nursery children have been practising their listening skills. We made large ears and went on a listening walk around our school and in the playground. We heard lots of different sounds, some were made by natural things like birds, people or the wind, some sounds were made by machines like a lawn mower. Why not go on a listening walk at home? Below is a link to some big ears so you can make your own hat too.

In Maths we begun singing 5 Little Ducks and practising counting to 5 and counting 5 objects. We will be continuing with this next week.

Some children chose to draw pictures to put in the Shenley Parish Council book to commemorate the Queen. Their pictures are below.

Next Week...

We will be going on an nature walk and learning about Autumn, thinking about the weather and how the trees and plants are changing. In Maths we will be continuing practising counting to 5 and counting 5 objects. In Phonics we will be playing listening games and trying to identify different sounds.
