Week 1 - Monday 6th June 2022

Hello, we hope you all had a lovely half term and enjoyed some Platinum Jubilee celebrations!

In English this week the children played a game called 'my bluff' where they took turns to read out a word meaning and the class had to decide who was telling the truth. This was a way to learn new technical language for our explanation of a wacky machine.

In maths the children have been learning about negative numbers up to -20. They enjoyed teaching each other to count forwards and backwards in negative numbers using a counting stick.

Next week in maths we will be comparing and classify geometric shapes, including quadrilaterals and triangles, based on their properties and sizes.

In PE this week the children started to learn the rules of rounders.

Reminder: Year 4 children will be taking the multiplication check on Thursday 16th June 2002

Have a lovely weekend,

Miss Atkinson and Mrs Light
