WC 6th June 2022

Welcome back to the second half of the summer term!

We got straight back to working hard on our learning this week.

In maths we started a new topic of time! We recapped our previous learning on months of the year, days in a month, hours in a day, minutes in an hour, seconds in a minute, quarter past, quarter to and half past! We then extended that to looking at telling time to the minute! It’s been a lot to fit in but we’ve been doing great!

In English we really got stuck into our persuasive letter writing which we started before half term. We blocked up the text so we could see the introduction, different paragraphs for each point and the conclusion before having a go at writing our own.

Plants is our new topic in science. We explored the playground to see how many different plants we could find. We’re learned a lot about plants previously but we still have lots of interesting questions we’d like to find the answers to…

Is there a rainbow plant?

How go plants grow fast?

What was the first plant?

Can a flower grow underwater?

What is the tallest plant in the world?

Do some plants eat animals?
and lots more! Keep checking in to see if we can find the answers to these over the half term.

It’s back to forest school this half term. We had lots of fun bug hunting, building restaurants, making muddy milkshakes, climbing trees and having lots of fun.

Well done to all this weeks stars of the day!
