Week beginning 31st January 2022

This week the children have completed a water cycle and looked at all the different parts which complete the cycle. To demonstrate their learning they completed a narrative as a water drop and described the amazing states of matter and the exhilarating journey through the cycle.

As part of Numbers Day for the NSPCC the children came to school in their number outfits- there were some wonderful creative ideas being worn! The children took part in playing number games and completing some number art.

As part of DT and our exploration into bread, the children explored the components of a balanced diet and where bread fits in the everyday nutrition. They made bread according to a basic recipe and then made alterations. It may be a flavour which is added or the shape the bread has been made. Once the bread had been shaped and baked, the children were able to taste them and evaluate their qualities.
