Week beginning 24th January 2022
The children have been exploring adding and subtracting fractions, adding fractions greater than 1 and using their previous learning to support them in the conversions between improper fractions and mixed number. It has involved lots of practise to embed the concepts and the methods.
In English the Boy in the Tower in becoming increasingly intriguing. The children are beginning to plan a newspaper report about the strange happenings in Camberwell.
As part of our music the children have been using glockenspiels to support the learning of one of Adele's classic.
In Science the children been looking at melting and freezing.
We have started a new DT topic and the children have been investigating and evaluating existing breads. Looking at the appearance, taste, texture and the origin of the bread.
