Welcome back to the second half of the Spring term! We can’t believe we are already half way through the year but we are very excited for all the learning and fun we still have to look forward to. 

Our first week back has been very busy.

In maths we’ve looked at fractions. We can draw them, build them and solve multi step word problems including fractions! 

In English we started off reminding ourselves the difference between fiction and non fiction. Once we got our facts straight we started looking at reports about Pirates! We’ve identified all the features needed to write non chronological reports and we’re going to have a go at writing some of our own, watch this space! 

In design and technology we were lucky to have some big helpers join us this week! It was so much fun to share our learning with you all. You helped create our snapping crocodiles with levers and linkages to make them move. A big thank you to all of the parents that were able to join us for the morning we hope you had fun and were able to learn something too!

This half term we are back to exploring the outside classroom in forest school. We had a lovely afternoon putting our teamwork to the test, flying kites and getting extra muddy!

It’s been fantastic to see you all come back with such enthusiasm towards your learning this week. Well done to you all, keep up the good work! And an extra well done to this weeks Stars of the day!
