Week beginning 4th July

Dear Parents/Carers,

We have had a very action packed week!  We did our dance practise on Tuesday and a wonderful performance on Wednesday morning for all the parents.  We were very proud of the children and if you would like to watch 'Incanto' again you can see them posted on the headteacher's blog!

Have looked at a range of healthy foods this week and discussed what a healthy diet consists of  and the importance of eating 5 fruits and vegetables every day.

Then we designed and made our fruit kebabs which the children loved doing and they were very keen to eat them up!  Thank you to everyone for sending in so many different fruits and we had plenty.  The children were very keen to do some cooking so this is something we will definitely build in to the curriculum more next year.

Today we had the 'Ark Farm' visit which the children all participated in fully.  They learnt a lot about a range of different animals including ducks, geese, pigs, donkeys, dogs and goats!  They had a great time stroking and patting them all.  Some of the children said they wanted to stay there all day!

Have a lovely weekend everyone and just to remind you that swimming will be on as normal next Wednesday and it will be great for them to keep cool in the pool!
