School Council
Our School Council plays a vital role in making our school the best it can be. Each class elects enthusiastic representatives who bring forward ideas, suggestions, and the voices of their classmates. Through regular meetings, our School Council helps shape improvements across the school, ensuring every pupil has the chance to be heard and make a difference.
School Council's aims this year:
Make behaviour even better
Improve activities and playtimes
Enhance Forest School
Projects
Throughout the year, our School Council has made an incredible difference across the school. Their hard work and enthusiasm have driven a range of exciting projects, including organising a fantastic fundraiser for Children in Need 2025, gathering pupil voice to discover the “best bits” of Shenley and the “even better ifs,” and teaming up with the Eco Warriors to help plan Just One Tree Day 2026.
They have also played a key role in improving our school environment - from choosing vibrant playground markings to selecting new equipment for playtimes. To top it off, they even carried out a behaviour and wellbeing learning walk with Miss Wheeler, celebrating the excellent behaviour across the school, and had a meet and greet with the High Sheriff of Hertfordshire.
