Week beginning 27th June

This week the children have explore Shakespearian language, used their VIPERS knowledge to help them understand some of the unfamiliar words and their meanings, while delving into some acting and taking on roles from the play.

In Art the children have explored 'What is sculpture?' and looked at the work of three sculptors, Alexander Calder, Barbara Hepworth and Edgar Degas. The children found creative ways to capture the information using words and illustrations. They have explored a technique for creating 3D art too. In science the children have been learning about the changes experienced by teenagers in puberty.

Rehearsals are in full swing for the UKS2 production, lines are being learnt, props are being produced and songs are being sung.
