Week beginning 25th April 2022

We have had a lot of fun this week sequencing and retelling the story of 'The Three Little Pigs' using drama and role play.  We have added actions and music to the story!

In maths we have been learning to balance addition sums and found lots of ways to make the same number using cubes to help.  We have continued working on our subtraction skills and practised counting back on number lines.

In science we had a good look at seeds in a variety of fruit and looked through magnifying glasses before doing our observational drawings.

Our 'Stay and learn' session was a great success and was very well attended.  Thank you everyone!  I know there has been a lot of art going on at home following this session!

Swimming went very smoothly this week and the children were great at listening to their instructors and their independence with getting changed was improving.

Next week we will be writing a letter to the Big Bad Wolf in English and writing the story of the Three Little Pigs in our own words. In maths we are exploring number bonds to 20 and working with part-whole models working out the missing parts.

Well done everyone and we look forward to seeing you next week!  Have a great Bank Holiday weekend and we will see you on Tuesday.
