Week beginning 05/01/22
This week our story is called 'Coming To England'. It is the true story of a little girl named Floella Benjamin leaving her life in Trinidad to come and live in England. The children have been learning about what life was like for Floella's family.
When Floella and her siblings were preparing to move to England, they thought about what it might be like. Floella's brother thought it would be 'a giant iceberg'. He wasn't far wrong! The children have enjoyed exploring the ice outside.
Some of the children made a boat for Floella and her family to travel from Trinidad to England.
The children have been practising using scissors to cut pictures of clothes and stick them in a suitcase to visit a hot or a cold place.
