This week in Forest School the children in Nursery made bird seed balls using lard, bird seed and oats. They rolled the mixture into balls and tied string around them. We have hung the bird seed balls all around our outside classroom and in the Forest School area to help keep our local birds fed through the winter! 

In Phonics we have been learning practising matching words which rhyme. We played silly soup and added rhyming words to the pot. We also fed Fred Frog the words which rhyme! 

This week we also started 'Star of the Day' 

Star of the Day is awarded to someone who has been trying really hard with their learning, who has been a good friend or has been helpful in class.
