Week 4 - Week Beginning 20th September 2021

Hello!

This week in Nursery we are becoming familiar with the 'Zones of Regulation'. At Shenley we use the Zones of Regulation programme as a way to help children talk about how they are feeling, develop self regulation and prosocial skills. This week we introduced the different Zones and the children have been beginning to think about how they are feeling each day and saying which Zone they think they are in. 

Each colour Zone represents a different feeling or emotional state. 

Blue - sad, tiered, bored

Green - happy, ready to learn, calm

Yellow - worried, nervous, having the wiggles, excited

Red - angry, terrified, in a rage

Next Week... 

We will be focusing on loud and quiet sounds in Phonics including singing at different volumes. We will also be developing our listening skills and listening for sounds in our environment.
