Week 3 - Monday 15th November 2021

Hello, hope you have all had a lovely week!

This week has seen a change of routine for the children but they have managed so well with the changes and I have had nothing but positive compliments about their behaviour.

In English the children have written their own narrative for Biscuit Bear, I will be recording this for the children to watch back and evaluate. So far I am very proud of their efforts and we will continue with the recordings and evaluations next week.

In maths we have been learning how to multiply and divided by 10 and 100 using decimals. The children worked really hard at this concept and they showed a real understanding of moving the zero’s for decimal representation. Next week we will be looking at time and how to read analogue and roman numeral clocks.

Today we had a lovely day wearing spots for Children in Need. Some of the children decorated biscuits at home and the class voted on their favourites. Daisy D came in 1st place and Sofia-Grace came in 2nd place. Well done to all our contenders.

And finally, on Wednesday the 24th November, Rowling class have been invited to the ‘Spinney’ to plant some bulbs. They will be going with Ms Irvin and Mrs Joyce (parent helper) between 1030am and 12pm. Please send your child to school in forest school clothes.

Have a lovely weekend,

Miss Atkinson and Mrs Light
