Week 2 - Monday 10th January 2022

Hello, hope you have all had a lovely week.

We had such a fun art lesson this afternoon, our artist study this half term is Henry Matisse and we will be creating a ‘painting with scissors’ masterpiece. Today we spent time looking at Matisse’s art work and we decided he liked to use bold and bright colours. We experimented with primary and secondary colours and how we could change the tone.  

In maths we have been looking and division with remainders, the children really understood the concept and were able to divide 2 and 3 digit numbers. Next week we will be introducing to long division method so please use this opportunity to do any pre-teaching at home over the weekend.

We finished our whole school English project this week, Year 4 worked really hard on their Floella Benjamin biographies and we couldn’t be prouder of the work they produced.

We will be changing reading books on Monday, please send your child to school with their reading book and reading record.
