Week 1 - Monday 1st November 2021

Hello and welcome back! We hope you all had a well-deserved, restful break.

This week we have got straight back into the swing of things, we started the week with our new focus English book called ‘Biscuit Bear’ another fab story is written by Mini Grey. We have been writing diary entry’s using conjunctions and next week we will using subordinating conjunctions and prepositional phrases within our writing.

In maths we have been learning about the distribution law of multiplication and next week we will continue learning about fact families and the distribution law of division.

We started a new science topic today, we are now learning all about ‘Sound’. Today we went on a ‘Sound Walk’ around the school. We visited several different areas of the school and described what vibrations/sounds we could hear. We ranked FSU as the nosiest and the after school club as the quietest areas in the school (probably because there were no children in afterschool club at 130PM and our newly fitted windows are super sound absorbent so we could not even hear the cars!) Check out the pictures below of our sound walk, the children thought they were VIP’s walking around with their clipboards!

Have a lovely weekend,

Miss Atkinson and Mrs Light
