WC 19th April 2022

Welcome back to the Summer Term! We all enjoyed the Easter Break and have jumped straight back into our learning!

We started to look at a new book in English - ‘The Finger Eater’ by Dick King-Smith, we wrote poems about what we couldn’t do if we had our index finger eaten and used our retrieval skills to build an image of what Ulf the troll looks like, take a look at what we created with the information we found in the text.

In maths we’ve been extending our multiplication skills. We have been partitioning and multiplying two digit numbers. It’s been a real test of our times tables knowledge. Remember to keep practicing your times tables at home and by logging on to Times Table Rockstars!

We have been working hard in music with our vocal and recorder versions of ‘The Dragon Song’. We’re excited to start learning another new song for this term.

After lots of fun last half term in forest school we are back to having a PE afternoon! We had lots of fun playing tennis this week in the sun.
Please remember full Shenley school PE kits are now to be in school ready for our PE lessons.

We were super excited to try out the new playground markings this week. Thank you to the parents that were able to join our first activity morning on Friday, we hope you had as much fun as we did. It is great to see some of the ideas that were put forward by the school council come to life at Shenley School!

We’ve been very busy and it’s already the end of the first week back, it really flown by! Well done to our stars of the day this week. Come back next week to find out more about our learning in Milligan Class!
