Weekly Learning - Week Beginning 31st October 2022

Welcome back!

I hope you all had a lovely half term. This week Year 1 have done an amazing job adjusting to having a new teacher and a slightly different routine. They have also been working hard on all our new learning topics.

This week in Maths we have been regrouping amounts to 10 and using part-whole models to represent addition sums.

In English over the next few weeks we will be reading 'Plenty of Love to go Round' and working on lists, labels and captions. This week we have been learning about what makes a good label and have been labelling animal body parts.

In PE we are working on jumping and have been practising bending our knees, swinging our arms and facing the direction we are jumping. We played snakes and lilly pads and had a jumping rely race in teams of two.
