Week Commencing 12th September
The children in Jeffers Class have worked hard this week in their lessons. In English, we carried on our work on an alternative version of Rapunzel. We went into the Forest School area to get some ideas for our description of the forest. The children were then able to create “expanded noun phrases” using imaginative adjectives to describe nouns. In Maths, we have been using manipulatives such as counters and tens frames to add.
Our History lessons focused on Samuel Pepys and how his diary has helped us to learn a lot about the Great Fire of London. We talked about different sources and which are best at ensuring we can learn about the past.
A reminder that the children have Forest School on a Thursday afternoon. Please ensure that they have a coat and a change of shoes, especially as the weather turns a little colder.
Have a great weekend and I will see you on Tuesday!
