Week Beginning Monday 21st November 2022
Today we visited the REEL Cinema in Borehamwood to watch 'Clifford the Big Red Dog' the children demonstrated exceptional behaviour and I was very proud of each and every one of them. In times like this it is really lovely to give the children these opportunities and experiences.
Although the trip was fun and exciting it is important to remember that Cultural capital is the accumulation of knowledge, behaviours, and skills that a child can draw upon and which demonstrates their cultural awareness; this trip was part of the learning a child will draw upon to be successful in society.
This week the children have been looking at statistics in maths and next week they will be looking at angles; measures of a turn, comparing and ordering angles, identify internal angles in 2-D shapes and classifying shapes using internal angles as a property.
Next week in History we will conclude our research on the Cheddar Man, we will be looking at sources that tell us information about Cheddar Man and how we can use these sources to learn more.
Please remember to use our online learning tools to extend the childrens' learning. They have access to purple mash, timetables rockstars and mathletics.
Have a great weekend, Miss Atkinson
