Week beginning 20/9/22

This week we have been reading the story 'The Great Big Book of Families'. We have been learning to name different parts of the body and the children enjoyed making a person with moving body parts using split pins to attach limbs to a body.

We have been talking about the houses we live in and that everybody's house is different. The children drew pictures of their house.

On Thursday we had a visitor to our class. Rabbi Garber came to talk to us about Jewish New Year. He showed us the shofar-a horn that is blown to welcome in the new year. He also talked about eating honey and apples, which are sweet to eat. This is a reminder to say sweet and kind things to each other.
