Week beginning 16/5/22

This week we have really enjoyed the sunny weather and have had fun learning outside. The children have been practising their ball skills and created a game where they had to throw a ball or a beanbag into a target to score points. They have also enjoyed playing with a velcro bat and ball. Some of the children have been working on their counting skills to count the animals in the water tray as well as trying to find objects that float and objects that sink. They have also been playing in the sand, burying the toy animals for their friends to find.

This week we have been working hard on writing our own version of The Bog Baby story. We have added a sentence each day after discussing our ideas.

Our beans have now grown big enough to be planted out, so the children have helped to plant them under the classroom window. Maybe when we come in to school one day soon, our classroom will be all gloomy because the beanstalks will have grown so tall they touch the sky! Or maybe we will see flowers growing and when they have finished flowering, new beans will grow. Either way, watch out, just in case a giant appears...!
