The Early Years Learner

In  Early Years we use play-based learning to deliver the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation StageChildren are encouraged to be independent, curious and brave learners. They are nurtured to develop their skills whatever their starting point. We also use the Development Matters Framework to support our planning and ensure children develop the skills they need for life long learning.

You may also find is useful to read the 'What to expect in the Early Years Foundation Stage?' leaflet for parents. This details the types of things your child should be doing based on their age and gives ideas on things you can do at home to help your child's development.

If you have any concerns about your child's progress or development please speak to your child's class teacher.
