Mental Health & Wellbeing
At Shenley Primary School, we strive to create a positive, engaging and effective learning environment where every child can thrive and feel safe. We are committed to supporting the mental and physical health of our pupils, staff and families, and we place a strong emphasis on nurturing emotional wellbeing. Wellbeing is embedded throughout our PSCHE curriculum, complemented by themed events (including World Mental Health Day and Children’s Mental Health Week) and assemblies. We actively prioritise initiatives that strengthen and support good mental health.
Mental Health Support Team
Shenley Primary School works closely with the Hertfordshire Mental Health Support Team (MHST). The MHST work within partner educational settings to provide early help and preventative support for the mental health and well-being needs of children and young people aged 5-19 years.
