What have you been up to...

Hi Plymouth class,

I hope you have all been keeping well in what has been an unusual time for us all! It was Easter last week, so I hope you all had a lovely time and ate some yummy chocolate eggs! I have really enjoyed hearing what some of you have been getting up to and the photos you have shared. Lots of you have been busy completing Maths and spellings challenges. I received a photo of a very creative Easter egg, some delicious baked treats and some of you have been learning using your outdoor space such as chalk drawings and hopscotch! It was a lovely surprise receiving a typed-up reading comprehension. Also, I have sent lots of Marvellous Me’s to those of you who are working hard on your timestables using Timestable Rockstars– great effort! These updates are fabulous to receive because I am missing us all being in Plymouth Class together! I know the kindness jar is still extremely full, so we will have to share the messages once we are reunited.
Recently, I looked back through your creative curriculum books, it was great seeing all your learning, particularly about ‘Ancient Greece’.  I was wondering if you could create an information poster or booklet telling me everything you learnt whilst you are at home? You could write/draw about Greek Gods and Goddesses, Alexander the Great, the Olympics, Athens and Spartans and what the Greeks have done for us? I would love to share these once we are back at school.
Remember to send anything you would like me to see to
plymouth@shenley.herts.sch.uk.

As you may be aware, Miss Fiddler set an ‘Easter Holiday Challenge’ where you have a choice of activities which are as follows;
1. Create an Easter board game to play as a family
2. decorate an egg (similar to the potato activity we did for book week) or create a vehicle to transport an egg safely from one side of the room to the other!

I am looking forward to to see what you come up with so send your photos and videos to me at the class email address.
😊

Even though this is a bit of a strange time, make sure you are still finding time to  have having lots of fun and doing things that you enjoy! A good website that Miss Rawlings informed me about is https://www.lovereading4kids.co.uk/ . Also, if you are interested in writing a story https://www.literacyshed.com/home.html is a great site to get some inspiration. You know I enjoy reading your creative stories.

Don’t forget to email if you are unsure about any work or you need help.

Looking forward to hearing from you all soon.  😊

Miss Cornwell
