Week starting the 14th of June 2021

In Maths we have continued to work on Fractions and at the end of the week were doing worded problems , involving two steps

In English we had a lot of fun working on Ug - Boy genius of the Stone Age.

We used a range of figurative language to describe his parents and  we compared our impressions of Ug from the front cover to what we actually learned about him in the story. We went on to practise using speech marks and adverbs effectively , using some of the speech bubbles in the book. On Friday, we explored the changes and developments that Ug wanted in his Stone age life and the reasons why he wanted things to change.

In Jigsaw (PSHE) , the topic this half-term is 'Changing Me'  and they will be continuing to learn about how their bodies will change as they grow.

As you know, next week is Sports Week and each class has chosen a country to represent at the opening ceremony on Monday. Middlesex will be having Ireland as their country and we have had great fun this week learning some Irish dancing , so that they can perform it on the day.
