Week ending 3rd April 2020
I hope you have all been keeping well in what has been an unusual time for all of us! It has been great to hear what some of you have been getting up to and I enjoy seeing everything that you have done! Ewan and Lizzie have been busy completing the weekly Maths challenges that are being set, Danny has been having his own ‘forest school’ lessons in his garden, Maddie has been getting creative and Charlie James has been busy with both maths and writing! I really enjoy getting these updates about what you’ve been doing because I miss us all being in Oxford Class together! Remember to send anything you would like me to see to firstname.lastname@example.org.
As you may be aware, Miss Fiddler has set an ‘Easter Holiday Challenge’ for the next two weeks. You have a choice of activities which are as follows; 1) Create an Easter board game to play as a family, 2) decorate an egg (similar to the potato activity we did for book week) or 3) Create a vehicle to transport an egg safely from one side of the room to the other! I am really excited to see what you come up with so send your photos and videos to me at the class email address.
Even though this is a bit of a strange time, make sure that you are still making sure that you're having lots of fun and doing things that you enjoy! A good website that was brought to my attention recently is https://www.lovereading4kids.co.uk/ . This website has recommendations of good books for children and you can read extracts and reviews of different books. It is free to sign up and will help out if you're struggling with what to read next!
Have a lovely Easter and I look forward to writing to you all again soon.
