Week commencing 9th November 2020
This week has been another busy week in Swansea class. In Maths, we have been looking at multiples and factors and the children used 'factor bugs' to find all of the factors of a given number.
On Wednesday, we looked at war poems in English. We discussed what the different parts meant and gave our opinions on them. We then chose our favourite poem to publish. These were beautifully presented and gave us a sense of what life may have been like in the World Wars.
Also on Wednesday we had our first dance lesson of the year with Hayley. We are doing a dance to 'Hard Knock Life' from Annie and we enjoyed learning the first moves. These lessons will take place every Wednesday so children are free to come in with their PE kit on that day.
In Art this week we have been making our Mayan masks. We made them out of milk bottles and then painted and decorated them. We are very proud of the finished article!
Today was our class duck race for Children in Need. There was a great response from the class and some brilliant designs! Lottie had the fastest duck and Lola and Mason won best dressed! It was a great effort for a great cause.
Enjoy the weekend and see you next week!
