Week commencing 12th April

We have had a great first week back in Swansea class this week and I have been really impressed with the attitude that the children have shown.

In English this week, we started a new book called 'Shackleton's Journey' which looks at the true story of Ernest Shackleton's journey aboard the Endurance to the South Pole. We have all taken on one of the character's from the trip to write in role as which has really engaged us all.  I look forward to showing you our writing on this over the coming weeks.

We have also started a new Science topic on life cycles. We have some exciting things planned in this unit such as planting to see how plants reproduce and also looking at the life cycle of butterflies.

In Geography, we have started to look at rivers. We even made our own rivers using water, sand and pebbles which you will see in the photos below. This was great fun and really aided our understanding.

Have a great weekend and I will see you all next week!
