Week beginning 19/04/21

This week, the children have been fascinated by a pot of coins. They have practised their counting, sorted the coins into different types and even used them to work out if they have enough money to buy a toy they have been saving up for at home!

We have continued to work on using positional language in PE and maths. The children have been giving each other directions to move around an obstacle course. Have a guess which positional language the children are modelling in the photos.

The children have been developing their mathematical skills. Some of the children played a game throwing and catching a dice. If they caught the dice, they scored a point and recorded this on a tally chart. Can you see who won?

We are learning to recognise and order numbers to 10 and beyond.

Have a look at what else the children have been learning this week.
