Week Beginning 15th March 2021

Our second week back in school and we have learnt SO much! We can't believe how much we've already accomplished and would like to thank everyone who helped us at home because if it wasn't for you, then we wouldn't have the foundations for the work we're doing at the moment!

English

In English, we have been learning about non-fiction texts. We're specifically looking at information about Sharks. We've been asking questions about hunting, moving, eating, breathing and sensing and creating spider diagrams with all the information we've researched. Next week we will finally be starting to write up our reports and collate them in a book for Year 1.

Maths

In Maths, we have been learning about written method of addition and subtraction. We started by counting back through 10 and breaking the numbers up and then learnt how to subtract using our tens and ones and finally some of us moved on to the written method.

Science

In Science, linked to English, we have been learning about animals including humans. This week, we learnt about how babies can turn into adults and what the changes between them are. We looked at animals as well as humans and looked at how they grow as they get older and the dependence babies need on their parents.
