Week 8 - 21st October 2019
In our final week of Autumn 1 the children in Kent Class have been doing some fantastic learning! In Art we finished our seascapes using lots of different mediums and shades of blue. We also started to look at designing our own hand puppets, which we will create using felt, needle and thread or fabric glue and lots of decorations. Some of us created a bear puppet, and some decided on a mermaid! We look forward to showing them to you on our first week back.

In Maths this week, Year 1's have been looking at finding all possibilities, whilst the Year 2s have been looking at equality and inequality signs < and >. In English, we have started to write our own version of Traction Man and The Beach Odyssey, writing about Beach Time Brenda and her fabulous adventures on the beach. We have been using exciting adjectives and lots of similes in our work.

We have had such a fun first half term and we are already looking forward to the next. We have:
- Arts Week
- The Christmas Play
- Learning about Queen Victoria in History
- Designing our own beach brochure
