Week 7 - 14th October 2019
This week, Kent Class have started to look at the book Traction Man and the Beach Odyssey. We have defined all the key words in the book such as: crevice, colossal and plunged and started to act out our favourite adventure in the book so far. We also wrote some descriptive sentences about what Traction Man found when he dived into the crevices of the rockpool. Next week, we will start to innovate our own version on Traction Man on the beach and write about Beach-Time Brenda's adventures!

The class were introduced to our Art topic for the term of creating seascapes. We started by exploring different colour tones and how we can get lighter and darker. We then moved on to looking at the different strokes our pencil can make and how this can be made to look like waves. We explored The Wave by Japanese artist Hokusai and thought about what shapes were used to create the picture. We finished by creating our own seascape.

Next week, we will start to look at D&T and creating our own puppets to use in a seaside show!
