Week 6 9th - 13th December 2019

In Maths this week the children used bead strings to support their understanding of using regrouping as a strategy to support mental calculations. Well done Swansea you have all been Maths whizzes!
Our Swansea class have enjoyed being role models for children in Kent class during their 'Book Buddy' session. Our children listened to Kent children read and then in turn read them a story.
For Design and Technology the children have been looking at structures, in particular, bridges. They had a very engaging lesson building different designs of truss to strengthen a bridge decks.
This week saw the children take their annual trip to St Martin's church to see Reverend Daniel, who shared the story of Christmas, before the children made Christingles. Thanks for all the oranges!
