Week 6 - 7th October 2019
This has been a really lovely week in Hertfordshire Class. In maths we have been sequencing numbers and looking for missing numbers. In English we have been practising writing and ordering instructions to make sweet potato fries. As part of our 'mental health' focus we explored mindfulness techniques and joined in with a circle time following our 'class charter'. On Friday the children did some amazing writing about the black American activist Rosa Parks as part of our learning linked to Black History month. The children had some interesting thoughts and discussions, saying she was 'brave' and an 'incredible' person!
Next week we will be sharing a Traction Man story in English and focusing on number bonds to ten and to twenty as well as learning to recognise numbers to 100.
