Week 6 - 7th December 2020
In English this week we have been looking at our whole school book 'Wolf in the Snow'. It is a wordless book and so we have been looking at writing an instructional narrative to go along with the pictures. We will be writing this next week, but this week have looked at generating instructions and story mapping.
In Maths we have continued to look at the time, learning quarter to and that it is 45 minutes around the clock. Some of us have even learnt to read the clock to the nearest 5 minutes. We also reminded ourselves of part whole models and re-ordering calculations to help us find the missing number. We learnt the rhyme:
Missing number in the middle, do subtraction to solve the riddle
Missing number at the beginning, do the inverse, you are winning!
Using our Wolf in the Snow book, in Forest School this week we moulded the characters using clay and tools.
