Week 6 7th-11th December
As we say goodbye to the Cloud Tea Monkeys, we are lucky to have a new book t inspire our writing: Wolf in the snow. The children have created story maps to help them remember all the key parts of the story. They then listened to the Neil Gaiman poem, Instructions, and identified the imperative and modal verbs in the instructions. This has then led to the children writing a piece using lots of description and instructions to help the child from the story remain clam and find their way home.
In Maths the children have been looking at different strategies for multiplication and division and we used lots of different resources.
In Art we have been looking at a variety of sketching techniques, blending tools and explored shade and tone in preparation for our final art piece.
The girls were able to take part in some unusual sport on Friday and were immersed in boxing. The boys were able to take part in yoga which brought on lots of giggles!
