Measures-Comparison, Estimation and Magnitude
This week , they developed a better understanding of appropriate units to use in measuring and then we practised reading a variety of scales.
Mental Fluency - Addition
They have been adding 3-digit numbers to ones, tens and hundreds with no regrouping,
English
They developed their understanding of adverbs and their purpose. They wrote sentences including adverbs because they were going to need them to enhance their instruction writing.
They wrote their instructions for ' How to train your dragon' using a title and subheadings . They included adverbs, times conjunctions and adjectives.
They edited these instructions and 'published' them on paper with a dragon border.
Geography
They identified and described some of the physical features of the UK.
RE
We discussed celebrations and traditions. They then described their favourite celebrations and traditions.
We are going to be looking at different religious traditions and celebrations and we started with Christian Baptism.

They will be adding 3-digit numbers to ones with regrouping and adding 2-digit numbers to tens with regrouping.
English
To finish our Dragonology theme, they will be writing poetry about dragons and looking back on their non-chronological reports about dragons and at their instructions about ' How to train your dragon.'
RE
They are going to be learning about Bar Mitzvahs and Bat Mitzvahs.
Then, they will be leaning about Ramadan and Eid-al-Fitr.
